TERMS & CONDITIONS


  1. The “My Sony Rewards GM Lens Giveaway” (“Giveaway”) is organised by Sony Electronics (Singapore) Pte. Ltd. (“Sony”). By participating in this Giveaway, the participant agrees to be bound by the following terms & conditions (“Terms & Conditions”).

    2. QUALIFYING PERIOD
  2. This Giveaway qualifying period is from 16 May 2025, 00:00H to 30 Jun 2025, 23:59H (SGT), both dates inclusive (“Qualifying Period”).
  3. Sony reserves the right to change the Qualifying Period at any time without notice in its sole discretion.

    4. ELIGIBILITY
  4. Participants must be 18 years and above as at the date of the participation and be a resident of Singapore.
  5. Employees of Sony and its affiliates, advertising and promotion agencies of Sony together with their employees, and immediate family members and/or those living in the same household of each of the aforesaid persons are not eligible to participate in the Giveaway.

    6. HOW TO PARTICIPATE
  6. To qualify to participate in the lucky draw, participants must purchase the eligible Sony products mentioned below (“Eligible Products”) during the Qualifying Period and then register the Eligible Products online for product warranty in their My Sony Rewards Account by 14 Jul 2025 to receive one (1) entry per Eligible Product for the Giveaway. The qualifying purchase must be made at any Sony Store, Sony Store Online or with any authorised dealers in Singapore.

  7. Multiple purchases and registrations of Eligible Products will count as multiple entries for the Giveaway. However, each Participant may only win a maximum of one (1) unit of Sony GM Lens during the entire period of the Giveaway.
  8. For the avoidance of doubt, products such as storage devices, batteries and accessories including but not limited to memory cards, USB flash drive, external hard drives, portable chargers, headphones and smartwatches are not Eligible Products.
  9. There will be a total of 3 winners for the Giveaway. The winners for the Giveaway will be determined by a random draw which will take place in Singapore on 16 July 2025 at 15:00H (SGT) (“Draw Date”). Unless Sony notifies otherwise, the random draw will be conducted by means of a computerised system in front of an audience at a meeting that is open to the general public on the above Draw Date and time. The Draw Date is subject to change based on any prevailing regulations and guidance on Safe Management Measures for COVID-19.

    10. PRIZES
  10. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the winners shall each receive 1 unit Sony GM Lens worth up to $4,000 (each a “Prize”).
  11. The Prize is non-exchangeable and is not redeemable for credit or other prizes. Sony reserves the right to, at any time and in its sole and absolute discretion, replace and/or substitute the Prize with any other item of a similar value.
  12. The winners will be notified via email within seven (7) calendar days of the Draw Date. The winners shall be contacted using their contact in their My Sony Rewards account. The Prize must be collected within 7 days after being notified and any prizes not collected will be deemed as forfeited. Sony accepts no responsibility or liability in the event that a winner cannot be contacted and/or in the event the winner does not collect the prize within the stipulated period.
  13. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute consent on the winner’s part to allow the perpetual use of the winner’s name, image, voice and/or likeness by Sony for editorial, advertising, promotional, marketing and/or other purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law.
  14. Acceptance of any prize shall constitute a release and discharge of Sony by each winner from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action, and/or damages which the winner may have, whether known or unknown at the present time, of any nature whatsoever, arising out of or relating to: (i) this Giveaway, (ii) personal injury and/or property damage, theft or loss suffered by the winner as a result of the use and/or enjoyment of the prize, and/or (iii) any tax liabilities in relation to this Giveaway, prize and/or use or enjoyment of the same.
  15. The receipt by any winner of any prize under this Giveaway is conditional upon compliance with any and all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
  16. The winners shall be responsible to and bear any applicable tax in connection with the prizes. If any tax is applicable to the prize and such tax is (i) required to be withheld by Sony and (ii) permitted to be withheld from the payment under any applicable tax convention, the amount of such tax shall be deducted from the prize by Sony.
  17. Sony reserves the right not to award the Prize or part thereof to any person who, for any reason whatsoever (including but not limited to cancelling and/or making returns on an Eligible Product), fails to meet any stipulated requirement in order to claim the Prize. Further, if the winners cancel the order at any time and/or unreasonably refuses to accept delivery of the Eligible Products and/or makes a return of the Eligible Products, Sony reserves its rights not to award the Prize to the winners and/or reclaim the Prize or its value (based on Suggested Retail Price) from the winners. In the event Sony decides not to award the Prize to the winners and/or reclaims the Prize or its value from the winners, it shall be in Sony sole discretion to award the Prize to another participant.
  18. The winners are responsible for all costs incurred in connection with their claiming of the Prize, including but not limited to travelling or transportation expenses, insofar as these are not specifically indicated as part of the Prize.
  19. Sony shall not be liable for warranties, maintenance, taxes or any additional costs of the Prizes. The Prizes will be awarded only in Singapore.

    20. USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
  20. Each individual participating in this Giveaway acknowledges that in respect of any personal information disclosed by him/her to Sony or obtained by Sony from him/her:
    a. He/she is authorised to disclose such personal information; and
    b. Such disclosure complies with any privacy legislation from any country, within the geographical scope of this Giveaway, and the use of such personal information by Sony as contemplated by this Giveaway (including, without limitation, the disclosure of such personal information to Sony's external agencies or third party service providers).
  21. By participating in the Giveaway, the participant gives consent to Sony:
    a. to the use of the Information, without compensation, for Sony’s promotional and marketing purposes;
    b. to the use of the Information, without compensation, for the purpose of administration in relation to the Giveaway; and
    c. to the use of the Information, without compensation, for any and all purposes set out in the Data Protection Policy of Sony at https://www.sony-asia.com/microsite/privacypolicy/sg/ (“Privacy Policy”)

    22. GENERAL
  22. Sony reserves the right to disqualify the winners or revoke any prizes awarded if it has reasonable grounds to believe that the winners breached these Terms and Conditions, or on any grounds as Sony may in its sole discretion decide.
  23. Sony's decisions on all matters relating to the Giveaway shall be final and binding.
  24. The Creation of My Sony Rewards membership account is subject to My Sony Rewards Terms and Conditions.
  25. Sony reserves the right at any time in its sole and absolute discretion to determine and/or amend or vary these terms and conditions without prior notice, including but not limited to cancelling, extend, terminating or suspending this Giveaway, the eligibility terms and criteria, the selection and number of winners, and the timing of any act to be done, and all Participants shall be bound by these amendments.
  26. Sony shall not be responsible for any injury, loss or damage suffered as a result of, or in connection with the Giveaway and/or redemption or use of the Prizes howsoever arising, including but not limited to, fulfillment of the prize, any error in computing chances, any breakdown or malfunction in any computer system or equipment, any notice which is misdirected and/or lost in the post, loss of income, profits or goodwill, direct or indirect, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation, termination or suspension by Sony of this Giveaway shall not entitle any party to any claim or compensation against Sony for any and all losses or damage suffered or incurred as a direct or indirect result of the act of cancellation, termination or suspension.
  27. Each participant warrants to indemnify Sony against any and all claims in relation to his/her participation of this Giveaway and breach of its Terms and Conditions contained herein. Sony’s rights are hereby expressly reserved.
  28. In the event of any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with the Giveaway, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
  29. The Terms and Conditions of this Giveaway shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.
